FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How is Ramadan dated each year?

By moon sighting — Ramadan begins with the crescent sighting and ends with Shawwal’s. See our moon-sighting guide for the hilal rules. Dates vary by country; follow local scholars and moon committees, not apps alone.

When do sehri and iftar happen?

Sehri ends at Fajr (true dawn) and iftar begins at Maghrib (sunset). Use the prayer-times tool for your city’s exact times.

How do I find Laylatul Qadr?

Worship all of the last ten nights — most hoped on the odd nights — with prayer, Quran and the Allahumma innaka afuwwun supplication. Our last-10-nights plan gives a repeatable nightly template.

How much is fitrana and when is it paid?

One sa’ (~2.5-3kg) of staple food per person, paid in Ramadan’s last days and before the Eid prayer. See the Zakat al-Fitr guide and calculator.
