The three categories
Rububiyyah (lordship): Allah alone creates, owns, sustains and decrees - even pagans affirmed this much. Uluhiyyah (worship): every act of worship - prayer, dua, sacrifice, vow - belongs to Allah alone; directing any to others is shirk.
Asma wa Sifat (names and attributes): affirm what Allah affirmed for Himself (Hearing, Seeing, Rising over the Throne) without likening to creation, distorting, or denying - as the righteous predecessors did.
Why it matters daily
Tawhid is the key to Paradise and the heaviest weight on the Scale; its opposite (shirk) wipes out deeds if unrepented. Every dua, reliance and fear should pass through Tawhid first.
Protect it by learning the names of Allah, avoiding amulets and fortune-telling, and checking intentions (showing off is minor shirk).
