The full story
Umm Sulaym presented ten-year-old Anas at the Hijrah: O Messenger, let him serve you. He served ten years — and testified: never did he say “uff” to me, never “why did you do this” for anything done, nor “why not” for anything left. A decade without a scolding: the Prophet’s management manual in one testimony.
The Prophet prayed for him: wealth, children, long life, Paradise. Answered wave upon wave: a hundred-plus descendants, gardens fruiting twice yearly, a century of life — and the hoped Paradise. He saw Badr’s boyhood, Uhud’s manhood, and every scene after.
He transmitted over two thousand hadith — domestic Sunnah no one else could: how the Prophet joked with his little brother’s sparrow (Ya Aba Umayr), how he raced, how he prayed at home. Childhood memory became canon.
Praying in Basra into his nineties, dying last of the major companions there (93 AH) — the servant outliving all masters but One, carrying a hair of the Prophet for his burial.
