The method of the righteous
Affirm what Allah affirmed: Hearing, Seeing, Knowledge, Mercy, Rising over the Throne - in a manner befitting His majesty. There is nothing like Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing (42:11): no likeness, no denial.
Avoid four errors: tamthil (likening to creation), tahrif (twisting meanings), tatwil (claiming how), and tatil (denying). Say: we believe, we affirm, and the how is unknown.
Worship through the names
Call on Him by them (7:180): the anxious by As-Salam, the indebted by Ar-Razzaq, the guilty by Al-Ghafoor. Each name is a door of dua.
