What counts as Bidah
Bidah is in worship, not worldly tools: microphones, apps and cars are means, not innovations in religion. A religious Bidah claims new reward for an unlegislated act - fixed-count rituals, invented festivals, or new rites around graves.
The Prophet said every innovation is misguidance (Muslim) - even beautiful-looking ones. Good intentions do not validate unlegislated worship.
The Sunnah alternative
For every Bidah there is a neglected Sunnah: learn the authentic adhkar, fasts and prayers first and the heart stops craving inventions. Love the Prophet by following him - not by inventing for him.
Judge new practices by two questions: Did the Prophet or companions do it as worship? If not, with ability and motive present, leaving it is the Sunnah.
