The wording and its days

The famous wording from Ibn Masud: Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, la ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar, Allahu akbar, wa lillahil-hamd - with additional salawat in some narrations. Say it aloud (men) and softly (women) wherever you are: home, market, masjid and road.

Eid al-Fitr: from the Shawwal moon sighting until the imam starts the Eid prayer. Eid al-Adha: from Fajr on Arafah day (9th) until Asr on the 13th - after every obligatory prayer (the “restricted” takbeer) plus unrestricted takbeer throughout, per most schools.

Congregational takbeer

Group takbeer in one voice after prayers and at gatherings is the living practice of the companions in Mina; lone recitation is equally established - do not quarrel over synchronised vs individual forms.
