Days of Tashriq (11-13 Dhul-Hijjah) - Stoning, Takbeer and No Fasting

1. 1Pilgrims: sleep in Mina on the 11th-13th nights; stone all three jamarat daily after zawal.
2. 2Everyone: continue takbeer after every fard prayer until the 13th Asr.
3. 3Do not fast the 11th-13th (except the specific hady-substitute case).
4. 4Finish with farewell tawaf (pilgrims) and Eid visits (everyone).

For pilgrims: Mina and the jamarat

Spend the nights of the 11th-13th in Mina, stone all three jamarat each day after zawal (small, middle, Aqabah - seven pebbles each with takbeer per throw; the rami-takbeer dua is on our pages), and stay until the 13th unless leaving early on the 12th before Maghrib. Combine with tawaf al-ifadah (if not done) and the farewell tawaf.

For everyone: takbeer and no fasting

The restricted takbeer after every fard prayer runs from Arafah dawn to the 13th Asr - do not stop on Eid day itself. Fasting any of the tashriq days is haram (with the narrow exception of tamattu/qiran pilgrims unable to offer hady, who fast three days of Hajj).

Fill the days with the unrestricted takbeer, charity, family visits and gratitude - they are Eid days, not ordinary ones.
