وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ ﴿2﴾
اور تمہیں کیا معلوم کہ شب قدر کیا ہے؟

What will tell you what the Night of Decree is? — its rank exceeds imagination.

لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ خَيۡرࣱ مِّنۡ أَلۡفِ شَهۡرࣲ ﴿3﴾
شب قدر ہزار مہینے سے بہتر ہے

Better than a thousand months — one night outweighs 83 years of worship.

تَنَزَّلُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمۡرࣲ ﴿4﴾
اس میں روح (الامین) اور فرشتے ہر کام کے (انتظام کے) لیے اپنے پروردگار کے حکم سے اترتے ہیں

Angels and the Spirit descend with every decree — mercy, blessing and destined affairs.

سَلَٰمٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطۡلَعِ ٱلۡفَجۡرِ ﴿5﴾
یہ (رات) طلوع صبح تک (امان اور) سلامتی ہے

Peace till dawn — safety from all evil through the night; seek it in the last ten, odd nights most hoped.
