Al-Yasa appears in the Quran’s guidance roll: among his fathers, descendants and brothers, We chose them and guided them to a straight path — and among them Ishmael, Al-Yasa, Yunus and Lut, each favoured above the worlds (6:83–87). Succession itself is the honour: guidance handed down unbroken.
He is named again beside Ismail and Dhul-Kifl among the best (38:48) — the same verse that crowns patience with excellence. Where Ilyas confronted a city, Al-Yasa carried the trust forward among a remnant.
Reports identifying him with Ilyas’s disciple vary and are not Quranic — so this page, like Dhul-Kifl’s, holds to the verses: chosen, guided, patient, best. The Quran’s silence on details is itself instruction.
