Story

The full story

Born under Pharaoh’s slaughter of Israelite boys, Musa was cast in a chest upon the river and raised in Pharaoh’s own palace — returned to his mother’s arms through his sister’s watchful suggestion (20:37–40, 28:7–13). Grown, he struck an oppressor dead with one blow, fled to Madyan, watered two women’s flocks, and was hired for years of service with marriage (28:14–28).

Returning, he saw fire at Tur and heard the voice: I am Allah — remove your sandals; his staff became a serpent, his hand shone white, and Harun was granted as helper (20:9–36). Before Pharaoh he demanded the Israelites’ release; the magicians’ ropes were swallowed by his staff, and they fell prostrate though threatened with crucifixion (20:56–73). Plagues — flood, locusts, lice, frogs, blood — struck until release was granted (7:130–135).

Marching out by night, the Israelites stood trapped — sea ahead, army behind — crying we are overtaken. Musa answered: never — my Lord is with me, He will guide me (26:61–62). Commanded to strike, he split the sea into towering walls; the believers crossed, Pharaoh’s hosts drowned mid-pursuit (26:63–68).

Beyond the sea lay forty years of Torah, manna, quails, and a people’s repeated rebellion — yet Musa endures as Kaleemullah, the one Allah spoke to directly, and the most-mentioned prophet in the Quran.

Narrated strictly from the Quran (Quran 20, 26:10–68 and 28:1–46) without invented details.
